Tired of the Winter Blues?
The biggest reason that gardeners and planters get so upset around winter and fall are that their plants and trees begin to die out. The hard work of your landscaping has to go away for a few months, and that's awful, but do you have to do it that way?
We have a slew of alternative landscaping ideas that you might enjoy!
ALTERNATIVE LANDSCAPING IDEAS
Rock Garden - Rock Gardens are simply that, a garden made for rocks. By combining shapes and finding designs online, it's easy to find great ways to incorporate these into your landscape. Whether you want to do these indoors or outdoors is entirely up to you!
Zen Garden - The Zen Garden should be a few rocks reasonably surrounded by a large plot of sand or soft dirt that you simply brush into beautiful shapes. While it is hard to maintain during the winter, I do recommend keeping it under a tarp to help maintain it's shaping during the winter...
Obelisks - The final and most abstract option are the utilization of Obelisks. Obelisks can come in any shape or size, but these are usually monolithic or massive pieces that draw the eye and maintain it over time. Think physical art installments such as statues or sculptures.
